Developed around the El Paraíso Golf Club, this area boasts elegant villas and scenic views of Sierra Bermeja. From the hillside to the sea, it feels like a rustic enclave, yet it’s just minutes from essential services.

El Paraíso is a unique residential area on the outskirts of Estepona. In fact, part of El Paraíso belongs to Benahavís and the other to Estepona. This area developed around the El Paraíso Golf Club, which was established in the late 1960s when Belgian entrepreneurs Bruno Mols and Fernando Gillis purchased the land where the golf course. It was designed by South African golf legend Gary Player and opened in 1973. Over the years, the club has changed hands but has always maintained its reputation as a golfing hub, with its meandering streams and wildlife that come to the lakes to drink and cool off.

With spectacular views of Sierra Bermeja, its winding streets are lined with trees and palm trees, creating a serene zone where time seems to drift by in a slower rhythm. From the hillside to the sea, the area is dotted with elegant villas, penthouses, apartments, and carefully maintained townhouses. The area is very well-preserved and, due to its tranquillity, feels more like a rustic enclave, although it is just minutes away from essential services.

El Paraíso is located in the eastern part of the municipality of Benahavís, just a few kilometres west of Marbella and about 10 kilometres east of Estepona. Access to El Paraíso is easy by road, as it is well-connected to the main thoroughfares in the area.

Please, note that when calculating distances between points along the Costa del Sol, it is important to know that the area is served by two main highways: the A7 and the AP7. The AP7 is a toll road that allows for faster movement between different points, especially during the summer when traffic is heavier. El Paraíso offers a wide range of options, from immense private villas on plots up to 10,000 sqm to exclusive penthouses, lofts, and townhouses within gated communities with pools and amenities. Some buildings exhibit classical architecture while others feature modern designs, yet all are surrounded by greenery and a serene ambience that defines the landscape. Homes situated in the upper part of this area typically offer splendid views of the sea, the golf course, and the mountains. In the lower part, known as El Paraíso Barronal, there are properties right on the beach, offering the opportunity to live every moment at the foot of the Mediterranean.

To understand the range of prices, it is important to recognise that El Paraíso is divided into three distinct areas: El Paraíso Alto and El Paraíso Medio, located above the N-340 highway, and El Paraíso Barronal, situated south of the road along the sea.

El Paraíso Alto is the highest area, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean, the mountains, and the golf course. It is a very green area with imposing villas on plots ranging from 2,000 to 7,000 sqm. Prices range from 900,000 € to 9,000,000 €. For apartments, prices range from 395,000 € to 695,000 € in gated complexes with amenities. Townhouses start at 320,000 € and go up to 900,000 €, also within communities with amenities.

El Paraíso Medio lies just below El Paraíso Alto, closer to the golf course and the Benabola and Benamara shopping centres. In this area, villa prices range from 2,000,000 € to 

3,500,000 € on plots up to 4,000 sqm. Apartments start at 220,000 €. This zone has the majority of townhouses, with prices ranging from 300,000 € to 850,000 €.

El Paraíso Barronal, located by the sea, is impeccably maintained with a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, unlike any other corner of the Costa del Sol. Here, properties can cost between 3,200,000 € and over 10,000,000 € for beachfront locations. Apartment prices start at just under 200,000 € and go up to around 680,000 €.
